5 Ways To Wear A Blanket Scarf

It’s that time of year again...pumpkin spice candles, cute booties, and BLANKET SCARVES! That’s right ladies, it’s fall time and if you’re like me you love this season, too. Question though, why does it always feel like we only have 1 week, okay maybe 2, of gorgeous fall weather before we jump right into winter!? Brrr.

Okay, enough complaining. As many of you know, layers are a cute fashion DO, especially in the fall and winter. However, many ladies struggle with HOW to layer, specifically HOW TO LAYER BLANKET SCARVES. I’ve heard so many ladies say, “I love the look of blanket scarves, I just don’t know how to wear them.” Or “Blanket scarves are cute on other people but they’re way too big for me.”  Before you throw those gigantic beasts out, cut them in half, or skim past another one at the store, let me help you out.  No one should have to suffer alone or in the cold. Keep reading to learn 5 different ways to wear a blanket scarf.

1. Handkerchief

Fold the blanket scarf into a half triangle. Drape two ends over your neck, cross in the back and then bring to the front. Tie the two ends together loosely and tuck under the front. Position it to the side for a “side handkerchief” look.

2. Classic Drape

It’s similar to the handkerchief style but you do not tie in the front. Fold the blanket scarf into a half triangle. Drape two ends over your neck, cross in the back and then bring to the front.

3. Infinity Scarf

Fold the blanket scarf into a half triangle.  Start from one end and roll loosely. Drape over your neck. Tuck the loose ends in or tie them.

4. Shawl

Fold the blanket scarf into a half triangle. Drape over your shoulders.

5. Belted Poncho

Just like the shawl, just add a belt! Fold the blanket scarf into a half triangle. Drape over your shoulders and use a belt to hold everything in place.

As you may already know, there are many more ways to wear a blanket scarf, these are just a few I find most common and easy to do. Enjoy, ladies!

The clothing is so different and fun! Great quality and pricing is fabulous! The two times I walked in the store, the staff greeted me and was very attentive and helpful! Very modern cute store, very clean and not overly cluttered at all! I will continue to shop at Country Faith Boutique!!
